Jeremy McKeon ~ Featured Employee

A Vermont native, Jeremy  McKeon graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a Business Administration degree in 2011.  As a collegiate athlete Jeremy was the team Captain of both the indoor and outdoor track teams at the University of Southern Maine.

Jeremy started his career with Boston Business Concepts, Inc. in July 2011 and quickly made an impact on the management team.  When he first joined the team Jeremy had an amazing student mentality, work ethic and attitude. He continues to be a top performer in the company and is on his way to Assistant Management.

What are your favorite aspects to your career with Boston Business Concepts?

“My favorite part of the business is working with motivated people.  I also enjoy that I can control how fast or slow I get promoted.”  At BBC, Inc. there are no seniority promotions.  Individuals who excel within the company are rewarded for their hard work and receive deserved promotions.

BBC, Inc. Bonds and Brawls over Dodgeball

With the Celtics off this past Thursday, May 24th the most happening sporting event in the Boston area was the BBC Inc. 64 person Dodgeball Challenge at the Boys and Girls Club in Woburn, MA (one of our favorite places!). Spectators watched as Boston Business Concepts broke into teams of thirty-two and faced off in a seven-match dodgeball tournament. Team leaders and managers at BBC, Inc., Vince Conley and Kevin Graziano scrapped for victory until the end with their crews.

With Team Vince leading 3:1 halfway through the tournament, the odds were stacked against Kevin and his crew. If there were a time for Patches-O’Houlihan-inspired wisdom, it was then: in the crux of the game.

Thankfully, however, players did not need wrenches as motivation. In game six, MVP Chris Piekos faced eight members of Vince’s team alone, dodging and intercepting balls until he, and his team, took the match for their own. A UMASS Amherst goalie, Piekos defended his side of the court the same way he does the soccer field – that is, very well.

But of course, the tournament consisted of seven matches, and one deciding game remained. With Vince and his team feeling vulnerable, Kevin and his crew seized Chris’ wake and rode it to a final, surging win. By the end of the night, blood had been shed (literally – and perhaps for the first time ever in dodgeball history), and athletes had narrowly missed whizzing shots. Sufficient smack-talk ensued the next morning – and it will again in two weeks’ time. For Boston Business Concepts, every other Thursday night is a dodgeball night.

It would seem that the famous cliché, “work hard, play hard,” perfectly describes BBC. The phrase, however, is simply too diluted. The team mentality doesn’t just switch on every other Thursday night: it permeates every day of work. The philosophy is fairly simple: if you can close out a game, you can certainly close a sale. And with BBC generating an average of 5,000 new customers nationwide daily for its clients, that mentality seems to be working pretty well.
