Leah Martinson

Leah Martinson

Leah attended Pennsylvania State University, where she achieved both a marketing and international relations degree. In addition to a double major Leah also received a double minor in international business and Spanish. While in school she was able to travel abroad from her home state of Pennsylvania to Madrid, Spain for one semester.

Leah started with the company as a Corporate Sales Trainer. As of now  she is considered one of the top trainers at BBC and on her way to Assistant Manager.

Did you have any cool internships while in school?

“I actually had two internships. The first was for marketing with Majestic Athletic, they make major league baseball uniforms. I was able to assist with operations, promotions, and apparel for the all-star game in 2009 where I got to meet Andrew Jones of the Baltimore Orioles when I handed him his jersey! The second was with Consolidated Green Services where I handled social media and marketing.”

Since working here at BBC what was the best piece of advice that someone gave you?

“To get out of your comfort zone, don’t be afraid to fail and to take risks because that’s the only way you can grow. It is the same advice that I always pass on to the others that I train.”

What is it that you like best about what you do here at BBC?

“The people in the company and the relationships that you form here. Some of my best friends that I hang out with on the weekends are from here in the office. I just love the laughs, the smiles and the jokes. If you want any of that come here to BBC! I also really love that if everyone here does well individually then the company does well as a whole.”

Do you have any claims to fame?

“I am 6 feet tall!”

What is your long term goal?

“I really want to own a 172 Cessna airplane. My boyfriend is a pilot so I figure he can fly me all over the world! I also want to have a million dollars in the bank by the time I am 35.”

If I were to go out to your car right now what would be your most played songs on your Ipod?

“Let it Rock by Kevin Rudolph, it will actually be my song playing when I get promoted to organizational consultant. REM’s Shiny Happy People- it always makes me happy. Angels of the Silences by the Counting Crows, and Jason Aldean’s Big Green Tractor because I love country.”

If you were to get on a plane this afternoon where would you want it to take you?

“ I've been to Europe before but I still want to go to Greece, Italy, and Brazil or Argentina in South America. Hawaii is also somewhere I have always wanted to go.”
